Who Is Emma Quayle!?

Emma is a Sound Artist and Researcher who has been living in Edinburgh for the last year and a half.
Coming from a performance/composition background, in 2010 she gained a BA(hons.) Music Composition from Dartington College of Arts.
An advocate of conscious listening, she currently volunteers for Action On Hearing:Loss, Scotland (Formerly the RNID) spreading awareness about hearing/loss.
Other projects that she is actively involved in include:
Edinburgh LETS where she is currently Head of Promotions,
The Noise Abatement Society with whom she works occasionally as a freelance researcher and copywriter.
The World Forum for Acoustic Ecology – Where, in their October 2011 conference, Corfu, she spoke on the subject of Contemporary Urban Soundscape Design - The Abstract, 'Tranquil Measures', Emma contributed towards the NAS' most recent e-zine edition of Soundscape, 'Rethinking the built environment', (February 2012).
